This year's Fourth of July hits different. It's America's 250th birthday — the semiquincentennial — and cities across the 209 are going bigger than usual. More pyrotechnics, longer shows, bigger festivals. We've verified every event below as of July 2, 2026. Here's where to watch fireworks this weekend, from downtown Stockton to the foothills of Don Pedro Lake.

Stockton — Weber Point Events Center
Independence Day Parade & Festival (Downtown Waterfront)

Free community event hosted by American Legion Karl Ross Post 16. The parade begins at 10 AM from DeCarli Plaza — north on El Dorado to Oak Street, west to Center Street, then south to Weber Avenue. Grandstands at Weber & El Dorado and in front of the Civic Auditorium. Festival kicks off at 5 PM at Weber Point Events Center with live music by Stockton Symphony and Latin Magic Band, vendors, kids zone. Fireworks finale at 9:30 PM over the downtown waterfront.
Pro tip: The waterfront promenade fills fast after 7 PM. If you're only coming for fireworks, arrive by then. For the full experience, catch the 10 AM parade and grab lunch downtown before the festival starts at 5.
Also worth knowing: Mandeville Island hosts the Barron Hilton Fireworks on July 3 — a 20-minute show on the Delta that's been a tradition since the 1960s. Boat access only, but if you have a way out there, it's one of the most unique fireworks experiences in California.
And on July 3: The Stockton 99 Speedway hosts the Ron Strmiska Firecracker 90 with a HUGE fireworks show after the races. Pro Late Models, Legends of 99, and Fast Kar Solution Mini Modifieds. Gates at 5 PM, racing at 7 PM, fireworks after. Adults $25, Juniors/Seniors/Military $20, Kids 10 & under FREE. Family pass (2 adult + 2 junior) $70. Free parking. 4105 N. Wilson Way, Stockton. Also July 3: Unity in the Community Fest at the Stockton Ports Ballpark (presented by Black to Business & Stockton Ports). 2 PM – 10 PM with live music, food & drinks, movies after dark, fireworks show, kid zone, and vendors. $10 entry, kids under 5 free. Clear bags only, no outside alcohol or coolers. A great family option the night before the 4th.
Lodi — Lodi Lake Park
America's Favorite Small Town Celebration

Full day of pancakes, bands, food trucks, kids activities, and lakefront fun. Lodi is celebrating its title as America's Favorite Small Town with a massive community event. Boathouse reservations open at 12 PM (required for early lake access), beach reservations at 2 PM. Kid Zone with inflatables, slip-n-slide water bouncer, face painting, and flag crafts. Food vendors include Panda's Smoke Shack, The Greek Wagon, and more. Fireworks finale over Lodi Lake around 9:30 PM.
Pro tip: You MUST have a reservation to get early lake access — book through the Lodi Boathouse website or the city beach reservation page. Traffic around the lake gets brutal after fireworks. Park on the neighborhood streets east of the park and walk in, or arrive by 3 PM for lake-adjacent parking.
Woodward Reservoir — 30th Annual Fireworks Celebration
Stanislaus County 30th Annual Fireworks Celebration

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors hosts the 30th Annual celebration. Make a day of it — swimming, boating, picnicking — before the fireworks light up the sky at 9:30 PM. Food vendors include Taquerias Las Palmas, Yogurt Mill, and Okey Dokey Donuts. General Store at the Marina has cold treats, hot dogs, snacks, ice, sunscreen, and water toys. Free loaner life jackets available at the Marina. Day-use visitors must exit by 10 PM.
Pro tip: This park REACHES CAPACITY every July 4th — arrive as early as possible. No in-and-out privileges, no walk-in access, no perimeter parking (CHP and Sheriff enforce strictly). Entry is ONLY through the 26-Mile Road South entrance (North entrance closed). Road closures begin at 6 AM on Dodds, Hinds, Dorsey, and Eastman roads. Personal fireworks are prohibited.
Tracy — Legacy Fields Sports Complex
250th Anniversary Fireworks Celebration

Tracy Chamber of Commerce presents the 250th Anniversary Fireworks Celebration. Tracy's premier Independence Day event with fireworks at dark over the sports complex.
Pro tip: Tracy starts the 4th with a hot air balloon launch at Lincoln Park (weather permitting) and the Tracy Breakfast Lions Club pancake breakfast in the morning. Make a full day of it — balloons at dawn, pancakes, then fireworks at dusk.
Turlock — Downtown + Stanislaus County Fairgrounds

Celebrating America's 250th with two full days of festivities. Includes a downtown parade, car show, community festival, live entertainment, and fireworks at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. The City of Turlock goes bigger than most people expect.
Pro tip: The two-day format means you can hit the parade on one day and fireworks the other. Don't sleep on Turlock — this is one of the most underrated celebrations in the valley.
Don Pedro Lake — Fireworks on the Water
Annual Fireworks-on-the-Water

One of the most spectacular shows in the foothills — fireworks reflecting off 13,000 acres of lake. The annual Fireworks-on-the-Water show at Don Pedro Lake is worth the drive if you want something more dramatic than a city park show.
Pro tip: Parking is LIMITED. Arrive before 8 PM or you won't get in. Boat viewing is incredible if you have one — anchor in the main body of the lake facing the launch point. The reflections double the show.
Manteca — Big League Dreams Sports Park
Manteca's $46,000 Aerial Fireworks Show

Manteca invested $46,000 in aerial fireworks for 2026 — one of the biggest shows in San Joaquin County. The celebration takes place at Big League Dreams Sports Park with entertainment leading up to the 9:30 PM launch. The day also features a parade at 10 AM along Yosemite Avenue between Library Park and Garfield Avenue by Manteca High.
Pro tip: They do NOT accept cash at the gate — card only for the $2 entry fee. The parade in the morning is free and a great way to start the day before heading to Big League Dreams for the evening show.

Make the Most of Your Night
- Arrive early. Every show on this list fills up faster than you think. Budget an extra hour minimum — two hours for Don Pedro and Lodi Lake.
- Bring chairs and blankets. You'll be sitting for hours waiting for dark. Camp chairs, blankets, and a cooler with water make the difference between a great night and a miserable one.
- Cash for food vendors. Many festival vendors are cash-only or have slow card readers. Bring $20-40 in cash for food and drinks.
- Check fire restrictions. Fire conditions change daily in the Central Valley. Some shows can be cancelled last-minute due to high fire danger. Check city websites day-of.
- Respect your neighbors. Illegal fireworks carry hefty fines in Stockton, Modesto, Tracy, Turlock, and most 209 cities. The professional shows are free — let the pros handle it and keep your neighborhood safe.
- Plan your exit. Everyone leaves at the same time. Know your route out, or bring patience and snacks for the parking lot wait.
